Cheesy Farm Valentines–Free Printable Valentine Puns
In this short post, I share a sheet of free printable cheesy farm Valentines. I hope they bring a smile to your face!
Homemade vs Storebought Valentines
When I was little, my mom tells me that I insisted on making homemade Valentines for my entire class. This makes me laugh now, because it shows my husband that I have spent my entire life complicating things! I vaguely remember it being late at night and still having a ways to go before we were done making all of them! My mom is a saint!
The Tradition of Valentine Puns
Many years ago, I started the tradition of giving my children the cheesiest Valentines I could find. I would search the internet high and low for free printable Valentines. They had to be groan-worthy! Funny was good, but cheesy funny was even better!
This year since I have the blog, and since I have found that I want to be a graphic designer when I grow up, I decided we needed to make our own cheesy or punny farm valentines!
Farm Animals and Valentine Puns
There are 8 Valentines on each sheet. Naturally, I had to go with farm animals. I also wanted them to have a bit of a vintage vibe. Then we had to come up with appropriate cheesy sayings for each animal. This became a bit of a challenge, but I think with the help of my super “punny” 17-year-old son, and husband we prevailed!
A Cow
I couldn’t find an image of a Jersey, but this Holstein will have to do! Isn’t that the sweetest chubby little hand?
A Pig
A Chicken
Some Ducks and a Goose…I think!
A Sheep
A Dog
A Bull
A Guinea Fowl? Really?
My kids were not convinced that a guinea fowl was a good farm animal to include. They didn’t think many people would know what they are. However, I just had to include one. I mean, what if someone out there is really searching for a Valentine with a guinea on it? How could I neglect such a need?

Jennifer, these are so sweet! I do remember making cards with you.
You were just in kindergarten then and starting to write well. Now look how creative you are now. ❤️
Thank you Mom!!
These are so cute! Best wishes with the delivery!
Thank you Lisa!! I always appreciate your comments!
I love these! How beautiful!!! And mostly the gin-gin. I just lost one to a predator and it broke my ❤️. Thank you for including it. Btw, guinea hens are valuable on farms and non-farms. They are more keen than a watch dog when it comes to alerting you. (You can tell, I’m very passionate about my gin-gin, no longer (s) 😓
Too bad we don’t live closer! My daughters just hatched some a few months ago! We like the guineas too! Great tick eaters!!
These are just the absolute cutest and of course you had to include a guinea! She would have felt so left out!! And yes, you should be a graphic designer when you grow up!
Yes the guinea would have felt neglected! My oldest son is in graphic design school, learning all I need to know! I get to pick his brain as he learns all the hard stuff!
These are the CUTEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Please let me share them on Thistlekeeping! It’s such a cute idea!
Happy day!
